- If a power line hits your vehicle, stay inside unless the vehicle catches fire. If you must leave your vehicle, jump clear without touching metal and the ground at the same time.
- Remember: electricity will use you if you come in contact with it.
- If someone is touching a fallen power line, stay away.
- Call 911 for emergency help.
- Don't try to rescue the victim. Efforts to pull a shock victim away could make you a victim.
- Stay clear until you are sure the power is shut off.
- NOTE : Metal fences can become electrified when a live wire falls on them! DON'T TOUCH THEM!
